What the hell am I doing? Honestly, I still have a lot of learning to do; but I can also say that I have learned a lot. Now that Eunoia Rescue has been running for a year and a half now. A lot of things have changed since the beginning until now – but one thing has stayed the same and that is how this whole thing began…

I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in International Trade in May 2015. Shortly after graduating, I walked out of my food and beverage job during the middle of my shift. I am 25. I still live with my parents. I am drowning in debt. I have no plans for a stable career.

Pretty much the only thing that has been consistent in my life is my love for animals. They really are such beautiful creatures. With everything going on in our world today, we should really follow their tracks. Unlike human beings, animals do not discriminate, judge, or say hateful things. Their actions are genuine. They feel with all of their heart and communicate with their souls. I will never understand why so many animals need help, but they do. That’s where we come in.

It is not only my goal, but also my dream to help as many animals as possible. Even if you do not feel the connection with Eunoia Rescue, I hope that the website has enlightened you and you can be the voice of hope for some creature somewhere in the world.

I am very blessed to have the support of my friends and family. It is pretty unusual for people to say, “do not worry about getting a job” or “follow your dreams,” and then actually mean it. I have received nothing but encouragement about my somewhat far-stretched, semi-risky, extremely rewarding dream. It has been amazing.

Animals aside, I hope that whoever is reading this uses this message as a “sign” to follow your heart, whatever that may be. Personally, I feel like too many of us worry about proving ourselves instead of focusing on being happy. The fact of the matter is, happy people contribute more to society. We are not defined by our job, our paycheck, our mistakes, or our belongings. We are defined by our passion.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit the site and reading this message. So far, there have been a million baby steps to start this project and there will have to be a least a million more steps made. However, I know with everyone’s donations, support, and kind words that Eunoia Rescue will be a gratifying journey.
